If I engage your design service, what files will I need to supply? You will need to supply high-resolution jpegs ( at least 1mb file size per image, but the higher, the better). How many images should I select for you to design my album/photobook? For a 20 page album, 20-40 images for larger images or 40-80 images for smaller images in the layout page. For a 40 page album, 30-60 for larger images or 50-120 for smaller images in the layout. If you would like to add pages, a page can accommodate between 1-5 images. What is the colour profile for the ready files to be printed? Please provide files in sRGB colour profile. What resolution should the ready files be? The recommended resolution is 300 dpi, or greater for best results. Lower resolution files of below 250 dpi may result in a degree of pixelation.
Can I use images from WhatsApp, Facebook or Instagram? Please note that images taken from WhatsApp, Facebook or Instagram are likely to be quite small, compressed with a relatively low resolution (typical around 72dpi). Such images are only suitable for very small books/albums or designed as a small image in a design layout. How do I know if my images are sharp? When viewing your images at a reduced scale, it is easy to overlook the minute details that may be more obvious to the eye once its viewed in a printed book/album. For any group shots or photos captured in motion, it is best to open the image in your computer and view it at 100% or 200% scale. Any blurriness will be more obvious when viewing your images in a greater zoom. If the image is blurred, there is little that we can do to correct this.
