Acid-Free / Non Acid-Free Black Sheet Albums (Dry Mount Albums)
“Dry Mount” photo albums have plain cardboard or card pages, and some comes with interleaving (separators). They are either book bound or post bound. These albums require the use of photo corners, tape or paste to hold photos in place. They allow for greater artistic control over the presentation of photos and are ideal for storing and presenting mixed sized photos. It is important that these photo albums have interleaving to protect photographs from scratching and chafing on each other and from sticking together in humid conditions, especially if the photos are not laminated or textured.
Self Adhesive Albums (Magnetic/Sticky Albums)
Self-adhesive or magnetic-page photo albums have an adhesive-lined page with a plastic overleaf. The overleaf is peeled back, photos are mounted on the adhesive-lined page and then the overleaf is pushed down to seal the photos in. We certainly do not recommend cheaper albums of this style for long-term storage of your photos. Problems may include discolouration of photos especially colour photos and the promotion of mildew and fungal growths due to moisture sealed in under the plastic overleaf. Commonly, there is report of great difficulty in removing photos from these albums after a length of time. If you must buy this type of album, ensure that the paper, plastic and adhesive used are acid-free materials.
Slip In Pocket Albums
“Slip-in Pocket” albums have pre-formed pockets which photos are inserted. These albums tend to be plastic over paper or all plastic pages. They are convenient and economical for regular-sized photographs and they restrict the size of the photos that can be stored as well as a restrictive page layout. These albums are good for storing a large number of photos of a similar size.
Spiral Bound Albums
Spiral-bound photo albums have pages held in by a wire or plastic spiral. This means that these albums are not refillable. Spiral-binding allows the album to be opened fully without stress on the spine and the pages should lie perfectly flat, allowing the use of the full page surface for mounting photos.
Flush Mount Albums (E-Magazine Albums)
Flush mount albums are custom books. They are called flush mount because we take photographic prints and hot press them onto a stiff page (one print each side), the pages are then trimmed until the photo appears flush to the edge of the page. The block of pages are then bound to a cover using the finest materials and acid-free components. Lastly, the album will be placed in a luxurious hardbox laced with tracing paper and matching ribbon. CD/DVD Holders
Our CD/DVD Holders are hand crafted and comes in paper based, fabric or leatherette covers. Each CD/DVD Holder may either store 1 or 2 CDs/DVDs and some do come with a picture hole to place a photograph too. We can customised orders to store 3 or more CDs/DVDs. Photo Boards, Frames & Calendar Stands
Our standard photo boards comes in 2 sizes, namely 2Rs and 5Rs. Each photo board may accommodate 2 photos. Photo frames makes wonderful gifts for friends and relatives. Our standard frames are made of wood and comes with a white matt board and clear glass. They comes in 3 colours; white, black and dark brown and fits photograph sizes of 4R, 5R, 8R and 8RW. We do customised frames for other sizes too. The calendar stands enable you to print your own yearly calendars and functions as a stand so you need not paste the printed calendars on walls.
Photo Accessories
For easy mounting of photographs, you may choose to use our Kokuyo Dotliner Acid-Free double-sided tapes which comes in a dispenser for easy dispensing of tapes. It also comes with refills so you could reuse the dispenser. We also have transparent photo corners for mounting photos too.
Personalization
We offer the added option of embossing, debossing and foil stamping on all of our albums and books. Foil colours available are black, gold, silver, red, blue and green. Please note that personalization of logos are complimentary for bulk orders (minimum of 12 pieces) of up to a logo size of 10cm width. For personalization of names for one or two albums, a service and template charge is applicable. Please enquire for fonts and prices.
